Montreal-based folk band
The Jinny Joes are a folk Montreal-based band, made up of Rebecca Egan, a children's charity manager from Ireland (vox), Joanna DeGrâce, a nurse from the Eastern Townships (vox), and Alain Gaudet, a carpenter from Témiscamingue (guitarist & multi-instrumentalist).
In Ireland, dandelions are called "jinny joes" and much like dandelion seeds themselves, the trio found each by chance via an online platform for musicians. What started as weekly living room jams quickly turned to song writing and a vision for sharing their music beyond the walls of their apartments with a shared belief in the power of music for healing.
